What the Vikings wore and ate
The Viking men wore a tunic with a pair of trousers underneath. The women wore ankle - length wollen or linen dresses with a pinafore on the top. When the young girls weren't married they wore their hair down and when they became married they put it in a plait and tied it up in a headscarf, they did this in fear of being called names. The Vikings wore: fur hats, brooches and the men wore tweed trousers. The women wore a tortoise shell brooch. There was a string with beads hanging on it. They hung scissors and things on the beads as they had no pockets.
The Vikings ate roasted and boiled meat, fish, bread, gruel, vegetables, fruits, berries, nuts and drank wine and beer.
